GG Collection Complete!
Post Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 11:17 am
I've only gone and done it, after a nice little box arrived today from America I can now say that I have completed the 625 game collection for the Game Gear. Every single game, barring a few variations, from Europe, Japan and America all boxed. Yay!

I started around November 2002 so its 5 and a half years in the making.

And now the good news/bad news - Good news is that come September there will be a new little Brynaldo crawling around causing mischief, bad news is that I agreed with Mrs Brynaldo that once the collection was complete I would sell up :o(

To be honest I'm happy to do this, i've heard somewhere that having a baby tends to deplete your finances, haha, and sacrifices have to be made. And right now the bringing up of my child is more important to me than holding on to my collection.

So probably over the summer months I will be listing the lot, individually of course, including most of the consoles and accessories. I plan to keep a few of the rarer items like the European launch metal cased console and the Mitsubishi Car License console set etc.

There's still a few game box variations I'd like to get and my interest in all things Game Gear will remain, so even after the collection is gone i'll stay around the scene and keep checking the forums for any new items of interest :o)

Well congratulations, and yes having kids is a financial strain, schooling, food, the list goes on...

I will definitely keep an eye out on the 'Bryanaldo Auction House' for some awesome goodies.

Quick go and clean up your games room so you can turn it into a nursery for little Bryanaldo :P

I have only heard unfounded rumours about Japanese Judge Dredd, as far as i'm aware it doesn't exist. I check the japanese auction sites as i'm sure you do too, and i've never seen it or read any articles claiming its existence. Do you have any evidence, a photo perhaps?

Judge Dred seems to have been release as a multi region (JUE).

The only evidence I have is it's and it always was listed in the "Daigirin" (you know what it is? A big book catalog) and it should be the first title I see in it not actually released..Even the Emit Volume Set (on SFC) I thought it was a mistake and found it on Yahoo Japan after all those years..so..as you do, I look auction sites, I watch a lot of stuff, and never saw even one pic..but..:p

Well you never know, I will keep looking and let you know if I ever find anything.

I have a question for you too, do you have an individually boxed Nazo Puyo? I've only ever seen as part of a console set.

Unfortunately, Nazo puyo 1 doesn't exist "boxed", just in the GG pack..

I've now taken some photos of the game collections, you'll have to excuse the camera, it isn't the best.
Also took a photo of a few of the consoles.
