Resource Workshop, by Borland, is the ultimate customisation tool. It allows you to decompile applications, drivers, control panel applets, .dlls, etc. and modify their bitmaps, dialogue boxes, icons, cursors, menus, shortcut keys, strings and version information. Unfortunately, Resource Workshop is not shareware or freeware. To get it, you have to get a Borland (a.k.a. Inprise) program that includes it. Of the programs given away on cover CDs, Delphi 1 and 2, and C++ Builder don't, and C++ 4.5 does. PC Plus gave it away on their May 1998 cover CD, but being a fairly difficult language, few magazines have given it away. Newsflash!PC Plus have given it away again, on the May cover CD (and maybe DVD), along with C++ Builder. Get it now! Note that PC Plus is often available on import outside the UK, try a large newsagent or something. | ||
