Patches for Windows programs
You may (or may not) have looked at my Resource Workshop pages, and thought to yourself, "but I don't have Resource Workshop! That's no good to me!". So I looked for some free software to patch programs (that way I'm not distributing modified versions, and I'm adding a hefty disclaimer just in case). In the end, I found some software that would do it, so I've started creating patches. However, for file size reasons, the patches and software are separate, so you must download the patching program first. If you scroll down past read the disclaimer, you will find them.

Disclaimer
You will take all responsibility for using these patches. If they violate any copyrights then you are responsible. If they screw up your computer then you are responsible. If, upon download, you computer blows up and your house burns down then you are responsible. I personally take no responsibility for anything at all. So there. Oh, and you ought to back up the thing being changed, so you can change it back.
Right, now that's over...

MPatch
This is the program that does the patching, you need a copy of this to apply the patches. The patches are supplied as patches (data files) and batches (which will help make the patching process easier).

Ministry of Buttons
What is it?

It's a device driver that gives you a button bar on all programs.

Get it here:

On this website (52.1 KB)

Changes:
  • Flat buttons, similar in style to Office 97 etc.
  • Extra button images (at the end of the list) that are actually useful instead of just nicked from Word 6
  • One of the extra images is a fake divider line - just place it before the buttons either side and make it point at a safe menu item like copy.
