This is a progressive metal arrangement/interpretation of Bridge and Sky Base Zone from Sonic The Hedgehog. I call it a arrangement/interpretation instead of a pure cover since I've made some changes to the harmonies, added new harmonies, and so on...

I was hoping to create a full medley, similar to the Genesis ending music for Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 but life got in the way.

The arrangement was created using the full version of Guitar Pro 6, the "source file" (if it can be called that) can be found on my github. Note that one would need to purchase and install all of the Guitar Pro Realistic Sound Engines in order to correctly playback the file within Guitar Pro 6.

If there's any interest, I can pdf print the partitions.

Thanks, I'm disappointed every time the song ends because I wish I could've made it longer - it would have flowed into Scrap Brain Zone afterwards. I'll definitely keep working on this and have a full SMS Sonic 1 medley.

Edit:
You can tell I tacked on the Death music at the end because it's not really polished nor properly arranged like the rest.

Okay, having listened to this, i really want to look at the tabs, but i only have an older version of guitarpro. So, if you would export the midi, i wouldn't mind trying my hand at it. :)

I really liked this, it's really cool. (And it could really fit in an album with my last year entry: http://www.smspower.org/Music/IndividualBulletPatterns-Homebrew

Time to work on a SMSPower! Metal EP ?

All joking aside, this is an really cool arrangement. Congratulations!

This is an amazing arrangement! It is really in the spirit of Sonic. I must shamefully admit that I have never been further than The Bridge, so I have no reference for the last part of your medley :)

If you ever make the full medley, please post it. Then I'll have something inspiring to listen to on my biking commute.
