One more Korean release today, from recently purchased games.
We have the Agigongnyong Dooly for the Samsung Gam*Boy (아기공룡 둘리) which is the original Korean version of The Dinosaur Dooley that we released some time ago. The game, released in 1991 and developped by Daou Infosys, was apparently scheduled for release in other countries and an "international" version was prepared, called The Dinosaur Dooley and dated 1993, although it never saw the light of the day apart in the form of dodgy Game Gear cartridges sometimes mentionned in adverts. Strangely enough, both Korean and English versions of the game are available as Korean cartridges and that is where I got both. Music in the original are different from the the internationalized version which ripped off then-popular tunes. ( As the site is now transitioning to its new structure, there is no ROM download link from the games page yet. Please check the usual download page or mirrors to retrieve the files in the meanwhile. ) |

Isn't this the (previously released) international version:
http://www.smspower.org/db/dinosaur_dooley-sms-kr.shtml Is this really a GG image then? |

Yes it is the same game, it has two versions. Both are SMS images. I believe some versions of those games went in the west in the format of dodgy unlicensed GG cartridges (maybe only prototypes) but it^s a SMS game. |

I think the GG thing might just one of many printing errors in the Innovation Technology ad. It also lists Buzz & Waldog and "Street Battle" for Genesis, and those two were Famicom/NES games.

I don't think a company would have been releasing SMS games in America in 1993. |

That's a point. Was the NES less dead over there in 1993?

I believe Wario's Woods was the last licensed NES game released in the US, and that came out in December 1994. |

It is correct. In the US, you wouldn't find SMS games in most major stores in 1993 whereas NES games were plentiful.

for some odd reason, the date for this item shows as november 25 2010 on the front page even tho it shows may 25 2010 on the forums.

Do both versions of this game use the same cover?
