Has this been documented before? It seems too bright and even to be the result of UV discolouration of ABS plastic, but I guess that's a possibility. The colour seems to match the Aaaronix "Gold Cartridges" quite well, so maybe a special "Gold Console"?

It looks like discolouration to me, I've seen a few Japanese Mark III yellow very badly. The yellow cartridges are a very different yellow.
I'll try to buy it to make sure.

Good luck with your bid, but if this is not uncommon with Japanese Mark IIIs then maybe this is actually just a very bad case of discolouration. Still, an Aaronix Mark III is a nice piece to have, and the Retr0Bright project may be able to bring it back to it's former glory if this is indeed the case.

Yes that's why I thought I'd buy it, and I don't have an Aaronix Mark III yet.

That's impressive. Gold Mark III could be one awesome looking unit.

The games Kenneth linked at TW$2000 for a single loose cartridge (it's the price per cart) that's stupidly expensive.

Current exchange rate is roughly $1US = $30TW. So that would equal to about $67US each.

From an expired listing, it seems to be the Japanese version with Aaronix stickers on the box and Chinese manual. I guess these were early imports before Aaronix started manufacturing themselves. Are there any other examples of this type of variant?
