Retrogaming stores in Kyoto, Tokyo?

Hello, i'm soon of to Japan a couple of Weeks, mainly Kyoto/Tokyo. Are there any good retrogaming stores worth a visit? I know theres one called "super potato" in Tokyo, but any more??

My Japanese Mark 3 collection needs to grow;)

There's also a Super Potato in DenDenTown in Osaka which has a fair amount of Mark III games. Probably lots of other shops but I've lost track of places/names not having been for a long time.
Places like the Famicom Shop chain has retro games but they are quite expensive and often in stupidly bad sunfaded condition.

thanks, mandrake and aki visited. some new mark 3 games going to sweden;) they still had that alex kidd board game the blog above talks about .otherwise quite thin on mark 3. space labyrinth for 84000 yen !

Actually, the Mandrake store in Akiba also had quite a lot of retrogames. Championship ice hockey for many yens:)

You mean Great Ice Hockey I guess..?


(Champion Ice Hockey is a very cheap game in Japan, almost the cheapest SG-1000 game)

Bumping this oldish topic if you don't mind...I wrote that retro game shopping piece, I don't suppose they actually put a price tag on it several months later, did they? I so wanted it...

Nah, talking about the Alex Kidd board game...when I was there last summer, they wouldn't sell it because it wasn't tagged.
