Converting a Master System Rom to a Mark III Rom. It is possible?

Hi, the problem is, I have a japanese Phantasy Star cartridge to Sega Mark III. I want to put in this cartridge the english retranslate Phantasy Star Rom.
This retranslated rom is for Sega Master System. I saw that Master System and Mark III has different pinouts.
The question is, How can I convert a Master System Rom to a Mark III Rom? I really need to do this conversion to do this cartmod?
If there isn't a program to do that, someone knows if it is possible?

Open the cartridge to see if you have a mapper inside.
Take a picture and I will tell you if it's possible...or not ^^

Im actually wondering if i could swap out the mask rom on my us phantasy star to an eprom of the newest translation? pardon my noobness if this has already been covered...

Yes, if it has a mask ROM. If there's fewer than three chips inside, no.
