I would love to play the original Phantasy star with orchestrated music and all new art and graphics.

Has there been any effort in translating the remade version of this classic?

If not, how much would it cost to get group together with the know how to do it? If I/several people did fund this, could we distribute it? Or would Sony sue the pants off us? Could I/we avoid this by distributing the patch, as is done on this site for ps1 translation?

Kind of confused what's going on here, one guy has hacked the compression on the game, even though he's not really interested in the game itself but the challenge of hacking it. He's more interested in getting someone who wants to test his hacking tools than he is in finding someone who wants to translate it.
