Sega Mega Adapter and 32X malfunctioning issues! Help needed ASAP! :)
Post Posted: Tue Mar 20, 2012 4:37 pm
Alright guys, I have a new problem with my brand new Sega Mega Adapter HAA-2600..I recently bought a brand new, sealed Sega Mega Adapter HAA-2600 unit from moderngame.pe.kr and used a middleman, Korea Proxy, to buy it for me and ship it to my house..Problem is when I tried it on my also brand new Sega Megadrive 1 HAA-2510, I got sound only, but no picture for some games and for others, got no picture and no sound...Is there an issue with the games or the Mega Adapter?? I ask because the games were tested and working when I bought them... I need help ASAP! :) Thank you...When I had this problem, I did not screw the Mega Adapter to the Megadrive unit, etc...

Also, my Sega Super 32X HMA-0001, I bought brand new from Japan, is giving me the same problems or issues... Did I wire it incorrectly??? Is there an internal defect to the unit??? The games were all clean for both units... Please help ASAP because I want to buy more games for these units ASAP but I fear I might have internal to unit issues with these units..Thanks again...

I know with 32x systems you have to open them up and reseat the 2 white ribbon cables most of the time to get the stupid things to work. I've had about 4 or 5 of them over the years and had to do that fix to all but 1 of them. I don't know if that's your problem though as loose ribbon cables usually just cause the display to show the SEGA logo then go black or red.

This is totally off-topic so we will probably delete this thread soon.

@kingofcrusher: no that is not my problem, but I than you with sincerity for that reply! :) That will probably be helpful in the future...My problem is I setup the 32X and power up the Megadrive and nothing happens..Both are brand new...

@Maxim: I could not post this same thread in Sega-16.com because of the length of time needed to render me a member...I need replies ASAP! Please be liberal about this and not conservative..

Besides, where else am I supposed to post this if not in the Development section?

Well consider that:

1. It's off-topic (not Sega 8-bit)
2. You haven't tried to troubleshoot the problem.
3. You haven't described the problems in any significant detail.

So try posting in the 32X forum here:

http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/

Show that you've put some effort into diagnosing the problem and you'll get help. Posts in the form of "It doesn't work, tell me how to fix it" never get responded to because there's nothing to go on.

Also the urgency and explaining irrelevant parts of the problem are offputting at my opinion. :D Good luck!
