So, I've decided to dust off the source code to Gillian and start working on it again. I've made some decent progress:

You may be asking yourself, "what's functioning so far?" If not, here's the answer anyway:

- Multiple rooms and backtracking + map editor
- Animation of objects (such as the laser barrier)
- Switching between characters (so I can include 2 more beside Gillian the main character)
- Almost all character controls (aside from shooting while laying down + will crawl through walls accidentally)
- Destroying/reading of computer cylinders (no images to display yet however)

Questions? Comments? Encouragement?

Looking great, I like to see remakes/fan games (even if I have no love for Zillion).

Just an update I've been doing a little more sprite ripping + engine fixing, you can see the fruits of my labor here. I'll be posting a lot more here + there.

Zillion was always one of my absolute favorite SMS games, and I was deeply disapointed that the sequel ended up being a generic side scrolling run'n'gun game, losing the unique gameplay of the original.

I'm definately pleased to see someone taking a shot at making a spiritual/engine "sequel" to it. Looks great so far. :D

it looks amazing, genius! I will look forward to this project.
Could be great using your great hack abilities and the tremenduss effort involved in the hack for rebuild the graphics for improve it greatly. of course keeping the feel of gaming as I suposse that you wish.

(If you need some help with graphics I offer my little and humble help. Im familiar with master system palete and sms graphics restrictions).

Edit: Sorry, is this game for the sega master system or for pc? Is unclear for me.

Of course if be done for the sms could it be even more cool. But in any case a zillion sequel for the pc could it be great! I I will hope to see more. And I wish that you get this project finished.
