This is an early work-in-progress thread, trying to build up a list of Game Gear releases in Brasil.

Golden Axe

Is this version of Golden Axe any different to the SMS version or is it just a straight port?

Yeah, that's interesting - Golden Axe wasn't on GameGear.

Maybe he means Ax-Battler: The Legend of Golden Axe?

Golden Axe should have been released on the GG; not the crappy SMS version but something that compares favourably with Golden Axe II on the Mega Drive.

Mine is titled Golden Axe not Axe Battler. I'd post a pic if I could figure out how?

TecToy are notorious for changing titles on box/manual in abusive ways.
The question is weither the game itself is Ax Battler or not.

Back in the day I added all the ones I had seen into VGRebirth's database.
http://vgrebirth.org/games/search.asp?keywords=&platforms=13&regions=8&a...

I seem to remember starting a GG Brazil thread either here or at sega8bit too.

Golden Axe is Ax Battler.

I'll check tonight and see if I still have any pics.

I started compiling an early draft of a ggall.txt to gather all those information along with Brynaldo lists, aiming for correct names.

PrOfUnD Darkness, on the list on your forums, what is the meaning of the (E), (C), (G), (*) markings?

They're just the letters that appear (somewhere) on the insert.

Yes, but what are their meaning? Are they related to ratings, or price?

I started compiling a document here:
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12495

It's very early draft.
The Brasilian release lists are the same as on Sega-Brasil but I corrected many names which were incorrect (I couldn't confirm two names that I marked with ? because the pictures were not clear enough).

We usually got the names from the boxes. You know, TecToy changed them alot, but our list is a TecToy release list so we have to follow them ;-)

BTW sorry for the late answer, but Melanogaster is right about the letters.
