Artist profile
|
|
I have added some text to Alberto Gonzalez profile, adding the info appearing on it's current company's (Abylight) webpage, and the aliases appearing on MobyGames.
http://www.smspower.org/music/Profiles/AlbertoJos%c3%a9Gonz%c3%a1lez Because there is no standard profile for artists, I thought it could be nice to create a standard one. It could consist of: Personal data of the author: real name, birthdate and birthplace, aliases ... Biography: It's carrier as artist (videogames or not) and some other things about it's life, studies for example. Related games: Games he(or she?) has worked on, specifying his role if possible. List should include Sega 8bit and other systems. What do you think? Any ideas? Another thing. When creating a new page, non ASCII chars shouldn't be used: it looks terrible in the url and can't be tipped directly. (I realized late). Is there any way to change the page title? |

It is not at all easy to get all that information every time. It may be a nice structure to suggest, but it's better to allow free-form info. We are not the authoritative source for all videogame music :) hence the automatic links.
The page URL looks OK in Firefox's address bar, but the "correct" link as shown in your post is quite ugly. Renaming pages can be done by admins. |

| Yeah, I know it's hard. Anyway, I updated the profile. Still needs some cleaning... | |

| I don't wish to be harsh, but this is not very relevant to SMS Power. Why not make a page on Wikipedia? | |

Or GDRI. *ahem* |

|
| GDRI would be a great host for this kind of info. We can always use stripped down versions for SMS Power. | |

|
| I also think GDRI should be one of the search sites on the bottom of the wiki. | |

| If any of you wants to add the info to GDRI, perfect. I'll cut down this site's version. | |

In theory, you could have added it yourself at any time :) except for the non-obviousness of where to add it. I added it now. |
