I'm not aware of anyone that sells specific capacitor kits to replace the SMS. Considering there was more than one model, you'll need to write down all the values and look them up online. I live in the USA and use Mouser.com. Not sure what people use outside of the US.

There's not a lot of capacitors inside there if I remember correctly. It's maybe like 10 or so. It's been awhile, but pretty sure there wasn't too many in my model 1 and they mostly had the same values.
Do you think that the 8 Mhz VIC2 of the older C64 was comparable and ahead of time versus the VDP? Obviously the Z80 was indeed a faster cpu but the video processor was in your opinion similar in functions and capabilities?
Mega Drive games cost more, so they could be bigger and higher budget. Sega probably wanted to sell more Mega Drive games so they were not incentivised times make Master System games that were directly competitive, they had to be somewhat inferior.

I have the exact sensation about it! Probably the SMS was sacrified so they could be competitive on the 16 bit war and all the developers went for it leaving us with good titles but not as the hw could have been used for.
You see many games that seems to be clones of other already out, often using same "engine". Maybe Sonic was one of the only games that seems to have a more deep development behind and the result was indeed great.
This is now definetely one of my preferred emulator and accuracy seems to be there considering Flubba tests and general glitch I've seen over the years on other emus with different titles.
Thank!

One thing I would like to improve (maybe just sensations..) is the response time of the controller that in any emulator seems to be higher than the original hardware and the general sensation of "smoothness". I don't talk about fps, just the feeling that the real hardware seems to natively have resulting smoother and any emulator even the fastest cannot give.
Later runs did the opposite - 256KB games were made with 512KB roms, maybe because it worked out cheaper. So there might have been a sweet spot for rom per yen.

Also consider that the material to fill the extra space is not free. The staff costs might be more important.

Thank for the answer! :)
I feel like considering the relatively small number of big games, there could have been bigger and more "epic" titles on these system.
It would be nice to know which games required the biggest budjects and time of development to understand how much software house put themself into it before focusing on the 16 bit new consoles.
