is this legit ? phantasy star cartridge pcb

Hi there. i recently purchased a phantasy star 1 cartridge..
open it up, and what i've seen is not the same all the knlwledge i had about the game or the pictures around the web.
every pic i've seen had a separated mapper and the pcb was "T" shape.. and the battery was on the back..
no this pcb.. none of the above...
what's going on ??

This is definitely real. Cost reduced version with ROM and mapper in single chip.

Ok.
From my understanding, this is the european version witch has a B version of the pcb.. year - 1990
The american version is the A revision and is the widly spreaded fotos around the web. year - 1988
so this is in fact 100% legit...

There are 1988 versions in Europe too.
