New PCBs available! The Uni-Gen Converter and Multi-DIY board

Hey folks,
I have a few updates about some cool projects to share. I designed a couple boards useful for doing Sega 8-bit mods and hacks. The first, is the Uni-Gen Converter: This handy board demuxes a Genesis controller so you can use Start on an SMS or Game Gear (with modding). It also has auto-fire and other features. The other board I designed is called the Multi-Use DIY board. It has debouncing, flip flop, and MUXs for doing easy switchless mods. These are great for adding import selection or overclock with the push of a button: Please see my new website for details and ordering: https://segasonicfan.wixsite.com/retro/ -Segasonicfan |

Would it be possible to map the Start button to the Pause NMI on the SMS? | |

Yep, that's one thing the board was designed for :) Keep in mind that the SMS controller port does not have enough pins for another button, but you can make a toggle between pin 7 (TH, for lightgun games) and start if you want to use it to pause all games but lightgun games, for example. My multi-use PCB can do this if you want to toggle with only a simple button press, mounted on/in the console (like the reset button, for example) -Segasonicfan |
