Repro Cartridge Boards?
Post Posted: Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:47 am
Yo guys,
Does anyone know if repro boards are available for sale or at least PCB designs floating around on the web for printing?

I'm hoping to get a few hacks on proper carts and I've already got shells made of resin so all I need are some boards and I really don't want to gut any existing games (no matter how crap they may be).

Thanks in advance!

If you want nice PCB you should contact ichigobankai, here a picture of his work (PCB are sold with 1mo mapper):

I don't have a camera that doesn't look like full on shite, but the way I did it is quite similar to the way SC3000 Survivors, Easycast, Pinkysil and all.

I'm just curious... how many shells can be made with this system? And how much each one would cost to manufacture? We're seeking a viable method for releasing homebrew on brand new PCBs&shells since years...

As I understand it, there's a fairly high failure rate due to bubbles (but it gets better as you get better) and the moulds degrade after a hundred or so casts.

Not very many, as bubbles can fuck up a casting bad. Plus as Maxim said, the silicone can degrade after around a hundred casts.

The shells are just an aesthetic choice for my personal collection more than something I'd be proud to sell.

Where can I get these PCBs and more info about them (e.g. about the connector at the top left)? Is there a website?

Hi everyone.

Sorry for "hijacking" this topic, but it's somewhat related...I guess?

So I was able to make a repro "test" cart using Afterburner as a donor. I can now burn eproms and test prior to actually making a full fledged repro.

There is one problem, however. I DESPISE killing carts I really, really do. This is why when I make reproductions, I use repro PCB's, like for the NES, Genesis, SNES, etc.

From what I read and saw, there is a schematic at the top of the page with a SMS board...a repro? Sure seems like it.

I also presume the top right corner is for the mapper? How is it possible to make this mapper? But specially, where can I get the board? I clicked on the links above this response, but unless I am blind as a bat, I could not see any indication of where to purchase the repro boards, if they even exist.

Any help would be great. Thanks so much and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
