Phantasy Star Battery Replacement
Post Posted: Sat Aug 05, 2017 8:24 pm
I know there's more than one style of battery for game carts out there and there's plenty of sites that sell the batteries themselves. What kind of battery do I need to replace the one in Phantasy Star? And I am in the US so a link to one that can be purchased in the US would be great.

Thanks in advance!

You can even use AAs if you like, finding an exact match for the solder tag position can be tricky so you may need to add some wires anyway..

I bought the battery and it's an exact fit. So if anyone out there is debating it from this vendor... I say go for it!

How tough was the replacement?

If you know basic soldering and desoldering skills it's literally a 5 minute fix.

“Basic” is about all I got. Ha! Thanks for the battery info and the reply. I’ll give it a shot.
