Phantasy Star won't play FM audio

Hi everyone,
I own a Master System Model 1, PAL version, modded with an FM adapter. Yet, for some reason I can't get the FM sound to work on Phantasy Star. It works fine on Ultima and Kenseiden, but not on Phantasy star. Is it possible I have a reproduction or a bootleg cartridge without knowing? While handling the game, I noticed the screws weren't the same as Psychic World's or Ultima IV. The cartridge was also a bit heavier than Psychic world. |

AFAIK only the japanese version have FM.
Or the smswpower's retranslation which including FM and PSG version. (but need a repro cart) |

Oh that's a shame. I guess when I review the game I'll have to use PSG audio |

Better an Everdrive than just a bootleg cartridge. |

I had a loose Phantasy Star cart and I removed the ROM and soldered in an EPROM with the SMSPower translation so that I could get the FM sound on my NTSC SMS and have the game in English.
