Hello everyone,

I decided to plug in my Sega Master system that I have had as a child. This is my very first console and since I’ve been collecting retro consoles and games, I wanted to give this old machine a run and play some of my games. However, right now when I launch my console, I get a black screen. The console seems to be powering up just fine, but when ever I reset the console I do get what seems to be corrupted pixels and partial art of the built-in games Duck Hunt & Hang On.

I cleaned up the console with air pressure and wiped the board down, no luck. I’ve checked the voltage regulator and it appears to be functioning as it provides nearly 5 volts of power (checked with digital multi-meter). I have some experience with repairing consoles with the help of many online guides, but cannot seem to get my SMS working. This system means a lot to me and would love nothing more to bring this console back to life.

I took some pictures of the board in case anyone can easily point out any anomalies on the board. Any help will be greatly appreciated and hopefully it will help save an SMS system from death :(
