I'm a big collector of video game artwork and have never seen this before:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Original-Sega-Golden-Axe-Poster-1980s-/282068...

Alternatively search for ebay item number 282068707451

It's an original poster of the SMS artwork for Golden Axe, according to the description it came in a pack with a t-shirt. Obviously on the SMS game box a lot of this artwork is whited out, so it's cool to see the full piece.

I'm not much of a Golden Axe fan myself, but I'd urge someone here to grab this and get it professionally scanned and preserved for SMS Power.

I'd even be willing to do the scanning myself (as I do have the facilities to scan large items in high resolution) if someone else is willing to front the item price and shipping.

I would buy it but it's rather expensive, in Australia, and I'm sort of broken. Probably comes from a magazine.?

I live on the Northside of Brisbane (next door to Fortitude Valley) and my Father inlaw has a framing business in Bowen Hills (on the other side of Fortitude Valley).

I have asked a few questions, see how we go.

Would look great framed for sure, but again considering it's rarity I would urge anyone who does buy it to also arrange to have it professionally scanned (I'd recommend 600dpi) so it can be properly preserved on SMSpower.

Asked a question on size, didn't get a response.

Will ask again.

Depending on size, I can scan it.

It's been relisted, I've updated the first post with the new link and item number.

Try asking again via the new listing omp. I spoke to the guy a week or so ago so he's probably just busy or something.

I wish I could find more large artwork pieces like this, as I say I'm not really a Golden Axe fan but there are certainly many other games I'd love a piece like this for (mainly SNES and PS1 titles). This kinda stuff is often pretty hard to find though.

It looks like it is the complete drawing designed for the game cover.

I love the Japanese logo, but the artwork is pretty retarded. The port isn't all that great either, but the game did look good when it came out though. I had bought it but quickly swapped it within the day of buying it. I think I got Psycho Fox instead, Another thing you can't do with digital releases, ha.

Well looks like someone finally purchased the poster.

Was it anyone here that got it? Would be nice to see it scanned and preserved.

The whole artwork was used for the South-Korean version:
