Hacks - including trainers?

Should the trainers page be merged with the new hacks section?

I was thinking of making trainers a third section of the index page. My worry is that single byte trainer patches are quite uninteresting; the trainers page covers old "scene" trainers, not modern Everdrive stuff.

OK. Where should I put my work on Altered Beast and Golden Axe?

Start here: www.smspower.org/Hacks/AlteredBeast-SMS-Trainer and this will get it linked from the game page. Use the same pattern for Golden Axe. I'll add the index section shortly after.

If we get multiple trainers for the same game, we can use page name suffixes to distinguish them.

I havde now tried to make a first draft of the Altered Beast trainer page. I will also make one for Golden Axe, but I need help with creating screenshots:

- In the sticky above, it says that screenshots should be in native resolution. So I should dump them directly from Meka? (At the moment I fiddle around with screen captures on the mac...)

- When I upload an image or a file, how can I overwrite it (or maybe delete it?) at a later point. I want to upload new and better screenshots (title and in-game) to replace those I have uploaded now.

Now I have managed to locate the editing menu for renaming, uploading and deleting attachments. I have nice screenshots lined up as replacements, but when I upload new versions (even when I delete old versions), it seems like nothing happens. Still the same old images?! I have emptied my cachés, accessed from multiple computers and browsers?!

I think our current host is causing some aggressive image caching. It's passing headers on images specifying 30 days of caching, which is a bit extreme. I'll see if I can fix that.

You don't have to use Meka, so long as your screenshots don't have borders or filters applied. Optimising works best this way.

I have started merging http://www.smspower.org/Development/Trainers into http://www.smspower.org/Hacks/Trainers but am short of time to spend on it. Anyone who is bored over the Festivus period is welcome to finish the job...

Note that right now, the site seems to be stripping backslashes (\) on save and these show up in the scene-style notes. Double them (replace \ with \\) before saving. I'm not sure what is causing this...

I've added a new hacks section for game editor patches, and added one from http://626535750121256080.weebly.com/alex-kidd-in-radaxian-rumble.html . It still needs a little work. Are there other such mods out there?

The only other one available for download that I know of is

The link on the hack's page is broken:
http://www.smspower.org/Hacks/AlexKiddInMiracleWorld-SMS-AlexKiddInRadaxianRumbl...
It seems like a space sneaked in in between we and blee causing only the first half to be interpreted as a link. I wanted to fix it but I got an error "This post is blocked by an administrator".

Weebly is in our spam blocklist. I've added an exclusion now.
