Here is my entry for 2013 competition: "Lander1".
It's a short remake of Atari's Lunar Lander.

This is my first attempt to make sms game, and I had a lot of fun doing it!

The source code is with it, not that I'm proud of it, but because it may be useful for someone, maybe...
For the same reason I tried to explain my sources of information and the software I used in the documentation (README.txt).

The purpose of the game is to make your rocket land safely on landing areas (horizontal with red dots) without using all your gaz.
You can try to pass every level with only one gaz tank.

How to play:
- press 1 to start and pass texts
- press 2 when you lost to restart from the first level (pressing 1 will restart the level you lost in with full gaz)
- press down to decrease vertical speed
- press left/right to change horizontal speed
Warning: acceleration is in the opposite direction of the direction you press!

I hope you'll enjoy it!

Interesting gameplay, with quite simplistic presentation (it reminds me of something written in Basic on an 80s home computer). Collision detection is not quite as good as you might hope, but it's overall fun to play.

The game has a very straightforward SG-1000 esque look to it. :P

I got to the end, but then the game yelled at me for not doing it without dying, heh. Has anybody managed to complete all the levels with a single fuel tank yet?

I can only -just- do it if I cheat and use rewind in mednafen. Getting a score in two digits on the real console would probably take a genius.

Hi!
Thank you all for playing, I'm glad some of you saw the end!

Yes it's possible to finish the game with one tank, but I don't remember the best score I made...

I didn't had time to test it on a real console, I think with gamepad it will be less precise than keyboard and way more difficult.

The controls are a bit stiff.
But they play well.
However on my sms, the game glitched out a couple of times (usually right after dieing).

But a great game, nonetheless.

This is a really nice and solid game, and I love the Tintin style rocket! Playing with the keyboard on an emulator, I feel like it's a bit more forgiving than it needs to be at touch down, but I would imagine it's harder with an SMS gamepad where it's easy to hit diagonals by mistake.
