The sweet sounds of FM

Yes, folks... I have FM VGMs playing now. Problem is, that's all that happens right now (it's a total rewrite of the plugin, FM is easy because I just use 5 or so functions from EMU2413). I'm not convinced by the quality of EMU2413 though, it seems much worse than the OPL3 translation in Meka, which sounds particulary excellent played through an XG chip. Maybe I'll experiment with tweaking the EMU2413 table accuracy.

I'll work on it a bit more, trying to figure out how to program in C as I go (probably not a good idea, ah well), and port my PSG code (which I think is pretty damn good, better that most emus). YM(whatever it is, Mega Drive) from MAME should be relatively easy to do too.

Interested parties, contact me by email or ICQ, I'll see about uploading it and some sample VGMs, if I can remember any of my passwords.
