i bought it from a collector in the u.s

its a shame that some time in its life someone had decided to stick celotape to it but i guess these things happen

this is also the first time ive seen this but i cant help thinking ive seen it somewhere before!

it has the same code on it as the other 7102 and was released in 1992

its not a u.s release but im certain it was released in europe

Yeah, that's definitely European - it's got the same UPC code as the standard release. Never seen one before either - I'm amazed that new stuff is still sufacing all the time! Keeps it interesting I guess... ;)

well I've never seen it anywhere, in all my years. I like it - even prefer it to the established one.

It's a far more interesting variation to me than the typical cover design rearrangements (and all that 'Classics' gubbish), because it's a completely new piece of artwork!!!!!!!!!1!1!11!!!1111

At first I thought it could be some more Portuguese strangeness, cause it has that similar odd monochrome look to it as My Hero - but it doesn't have the blue squares or yellow sticker thing.

I haven't a clue - a European re-release maybe?
If they wanted to alter the cover art for some reason, I wonder why this particular version's so rare??????//?/??/////

The sellotape looks like it could be edited out of a scan. Any chance you could scan it?

the tape is still attatched to the cover and i also got more games from the seller which had normal covers but with these same tape marks! i think that sometime in its life it was in a case that had no cover so they taped it to the box

it feels and looks like the real thing so if it is a fake then they have done one fine job and if someone was going to make a fake cover i think myslef i would have chosen a better game to do it with

im going to have a go and get these marks off this weekend, any tips anyone ?

First you should do a high-quality (300 DPI) scan of that thing. It may be easier to alter the scan (as Maxim suggested) now than after you'll try removing the tape and perhaps accidentally screwing it even more.

Hey everyone get your original air rescues out and then compare it to mine! its basicaly the same picture with just much better graphic work

looking at how similar the 2 are must comfirm its real ? i mean who on earth could pull something off like this ? and at this quality! ive never seen anything like it

i will get the scan before i try and get that tape off though looking at it it looks like the tapes stained it :(

That's usually what we get on the back of a box in Australia. I think it's just the result of being another PAL territory.

It looks like an Australian release to me. If you check the space between the images and the border it should be smaller than an EU or US released game.

In fact the whole box should be smaller and you wouldnt be able to fit an US or EU cover into it.

Crazy ppl down under. (still pissed about my silver boxed ecco).

I see that the Master Games 1 is missing the loading instructions. Its nothing fancy, just some text on 4 pages.

Need a scan of that?

Like I said, anything. Box covers and variations are the priority but we want to have everything preserved eventually.

Well here it is, Im not very good with scanning stuff so you will have to excuse if its not up to pair:

http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload9/Page_4_and_1.jpg
http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload9/Page_2_and_3.jpg

Its a once folded panflet. Name of files indicate page number by position.

Insides was of a slightly diffrent color than outside, bad print? Dont know which is correct so i havent tried to correct it.

thread resurrection time :)

I bought this variation off Onyx a wile back, I'd read about it (maybe this thread) and people think its Australian. Well I can confirm that it's Eruo/ US size - It wont fit in a little Ozisoft box.

Martin Law has recently posted alot of scans from some Spanish Sega mags on the sega8bit forum. For the first time (I think) some evidance that the Air Rescue variation is 1) real, and 2) Euro..

A closer shot of the artwork (It looks more like a photo than painting to me)
