GG black screen with audio

My GG started giving me a Black screen but the audio would work. The first thing I did was replace the caps and decided to upgrade to Handheld Legends back light mod. After installing all caps and screen still nothing comes up on the screen. I am not getting power to the solder point where the screen installs to. I checked the power board and it is fine. I checked the contrast wheel and found a place that seams like it would be dimming properly by the change in volts.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
