Woody Pop in Canadian Sega Master System Game Catalog from 1987?

I bought a Master System yesterday that was still in its original box and it even has all the manuals. It's a Canadian Master System so everything on the box and in the manuals is in both English and French. I noticed that there was a Game Catalog for the spring and summer of 1987 included and when I opened it to the Sega Card section, I was shocked to see Woody Pop, a game that I had heard was never released outside of Japan except on the Game Gear. Not even the required paddle controller was ever released elsewhere. This would've made sense if it was listed under "coming soon" and was cancelled for North America later, but it claims to have already been released. Why is this in my Game Catalog? Also, why does Wikipedia state that Woody Pop was released in North America and Europe in 1988?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woody_Pop The attached images were taken on my phone so please excuse their poor quality. If anyone would like for me to scan this catalog, let me know. |

The English only version of this catalog has been scanned here:
http://www.smspower.org/Scans/Sega-Catalogue-GameCatalogSpringSummer1987?gallery... With the same announcement. That and other catalog made lots of people wonder since the game eventually wasn't released outside of Japan on the Master System. However, the EN+FR version of this catalog is a super nice find and it is unscanned. It would be great if you can scan it. Your foray into the Master System starts on a nice find :) " Also, why does Wikipedia state that Woody Pop was released in North America and Europe in 1988? " Wikipedia is wrong. |

I figured Wikipedia was wrong, but I'll admit, that catalog confused me :)
I'll try to get some scans some time this week. if you want, I can also scan the EN+FR versions of the Sega System Manual, Hang On/Safari Hunt, and a form for ordering things like more Control Pads and video cables from Sega. |

Anything that's not in the Scan section is useful, the manual I assume is this one: (maybe compare with yours?)
http://www.smspower.org/Scans/HangOnAndSafariHunt-SMS-CA-Manual That catalog is definitively the less common thing of the lot. |
