New Game: Super Uwol [SG-1000]

Although the game has been finished for some time, we've been holding this release until the crowdfunded physical copy of the main port (the NES version of the game) was ready.
This is a simple arcade for 1 / 2 players for the SEGA SG-1000 range of consoles (Mark I, Mark II). The game also works in the Mark III and the Master System. Please, play at 60 fps if you can. The game is coded using Sverx's devkitSMS. You can load the complete source code if you want to take a peek. The game uses a modified instance of the first SGlib version available. You may have problems if the SDCC version is not the exact one we used to create the game, so I've included the package in the archive as well. Uwol enjoys a quiet retirement at his cozy house in the beach of Pepinoni (province of Badajoz), so he doesn’t realize that somebody has stolen all his money from the bank. Luckly, his good ol’ friend Meemaid, the evil sorceress-turned-super heroine learned about the incident as she was using the ATM in the very moment the bank was being robbed. That’s why they decide to head back over to the new and refurnished Storm Palace to regain the lost fortune. But it won’t be easy… the new basement is deep and full of dark corners. Besides, the intrincate disposition of rooms makes it easy to get lost and walk in circles. And that’s what happened: Uwol and Meemaid got lost and reached in the deepest side of the labyrinth – where Vampy, Franky, Fanty and Wolfy, plus the children’s favourite Cthulhy dwell. So you may guess it won’t be an easy task to escape with the money! You will find the download links at the bottom of the game card: http://www.mojontwins.com/juegos_mojonos/super-uwol-sg-1000/ |

@na_th_an: just to clarify... is this an entry to the devkitSMS competition or it is not?
anyway, I'm very happy to see you released it. It's a very well done job. |

Thanks for the replies. I've just updated the file to correct a couple of minor glitches. Same links.
About the compo, I completely forgot. If it qualifies, we'd be more than happy if this game is eligible as an entry. I'm not sure if it breaks any rule as it has been released publicly. Besides, it doesn't use the latest DevkitSMS, but a slightly modified version of the first version of SGlib and aPLib. |

I would say your game it's eligible, as it's of course using devkitSMS.
And no, it's not a requirement to use the latest available version. To formally enter, please follow the instructions here :) |
