adding fm chip to a real sms?

it seems that yamaha still make the 2413, so whats the possibility of adding one to a real sms? would it have to be located in the colsole itself, as the cartridge port has access to the bus, would it be possible to make a pass through cartridge that contains the fm chip? it would be a pretty neat thing if possible ;)

Does the slot have access to the bus too? An FM card would be a funky addon for the SMS. Quite how a 2cm high chip will fit in the slot I don't know... I'm more of an ideas man
