This is my entry for this year: it's a pretty basic dating simulator made with twee2sam.

All of the gameplay, as it is, is implemented; I intend to add images to the game if time allows but, just in case, here's what is available so far.

Yeah... i felt the same with policenauts... there is not enough options... WHY CANNOT SELECT WHAT TO DO WHEN SPORTY GIRL IS (**** SPOILER****) ON YOU! Nice graphics. Like the palette reduction. Have to try with glasses girl...

It's a good demonstration of twee2sam. It's made me interested in trying to port a game with it myself, maybe next year!

Making this game made me wonder if I shouldn't take some time to create a 'twee2c', or something. It would definitely be easier to debug and extend. :P

I've been testing this ROM on my setup (I'm using a Master EverDrive on my SMS II fitted with a 50/60Hz switch and connected to a CRT) yesterday evening.

The game works but there are minor to not-so-minor problems of VRAM corruption... you're probably pushing data to VRAM too fast with display turned on.
Also, when there's on screen a choice to be made, it looks like you're redrawing everything over and over, and that VRAM corruption takes the form of flashing 'broken' tiles randomly appearing and disappearing.

Finally, it's missing GIRLS which, IMHO, it's a major flaw in a dating simulator :D

Ha, this is great! I used to make these interactive stories the analogue way in my notebooks. This dating sim has a nice atmosphere to it - I like the setting and the pictures, and even though images of the actual girls would help, it is not at all bad to let the imagination kick in. I won't spoil anything, but I got both the girls - in two different storylines, that is :)

To get such detailed and large images on the sms is impressive. Your RgbQuant tool is quite powerful. I think use of simple transitions between screens and some music would lift this a lot. Nice work.
