Hey all.
Actually found my old Game Gear, asfter many years, so I had it recapped and having a blast. Still my system of choice.
I was always of the opinion that the Game Gear was the height of 8 bit gaming since the GG did such a great job with scaling, color palette, and detail.
Was glad to see such an extensive site like this one.
That's all. Look forward to delving into the forums.
Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome 8bitbill! I've been a Game Gear fanatic since I was 12 years and 364 days old (got one a day before my 13th birthday as a gift to myself). Surprisingly, that was only 3 years ago. That's right, I'm 16, and have an appreciation for 8-bit Sega :). I love the Game Gear, and ! take it everywhere (I have big pockets). My only complaint with the Game Gear is ALL THOSE HARDWARE FAILURES! My first Game Gear went through extensive repairs in the last 2 weeks until the repair guy finally said screw it and handed me a new Game Gear. Other than that, I love the system and even defend the short battery life (6 hours compared to the 3-5 most people claim).
