Some debugging material in The Adventures of Batman & Robin

While poking around in the RAM a bit, I got lucky and found a coordinate mode that allows you to freely move anywhere on the map:

I had found this RAM cheat a few years back, maybe it's connected to more debugging material; I'm not sure:
Invulnerability
00D92A:01

What lead to the discovery of the coordinate mode, was the recent find of this RAM cheat:
Infinite Health
00D852:01

Just one byte later is the coordinate address:
X And Y Coordinates
00D853:03

Also, I found that if you change the value to 08; the coordinate code becomes a stage skip.

The following passwords were given; since they're in simple form; maybe they could be useful for deciphering into starting with items you want or something along those lines:

Level 1
AAACN - Streets Of Gotham City
AAAKN - Studio Scaffolding
AAASN - The Wonderland Set
Level 2
AAA1N - Gothcorp Interior
AABCM - Gothcorp Exterior
Level 3
AABKM - Nightmare Prison
AABSM - Nightmare Cemetery
Level 4
AAB1M - Amusement Park Enterance
AACCL - Harley Quinn Battle
AACKL - The Jokers Lair

I'm no coder or anything, but I made a simple ips patch (hopefully attached to this post) that turns on the ability to move anywhere on the map, for folks to play around with. You just pause the game to enable it.

This game bothered me for years now, after finding a debug mode in another game by the same developer, so at least now there is a little tidbit more info found :-)

That Garfield screen is visually identical to the ones in the Ecco games, and it turns out they were made by the same developer (Novotrade, who also did Foreman For Real). There's only one game left that they did - The Adventures of Batman and Robin - that has no such cheat discovered, so it's quite likely there is one waiting to be found...

Hopefully someone can find something new, or the proper way to enable this ^.^

James Pond 3: Operation Starfi5h
Post Posted: Tue Dec 27, 2016 7:25 am
Thanks :-)

Instead of making a new topic, figured I would stick this here.

The Game Gear game James Pond 3: Operation Starfi5h, has a disabled password. The password is:
Red Cheese, Car, Green Cat, Teeth, Cupcake, Umbrella, Shoe

Notice that only 'Red Cheese' and 'Green Cat' have a color wrote with them, because the values used for the password are not selectable.

The password in hex form is:
08, 36, 42, 7D, 15, 1C, 1B

The first digit of the two digit hex value is the color, these are the possible colors:
0 Red
2 Yellow
4 Green
6 Blue

By changing the absolute minimum characters in the ROM, I created an IPS patch to re-enable the password.

This is the new password after patching the ROM:
Red Cheese, Red Car, Green Cat, Red Teeth, Red Cupcake, Red Umbrella, Red Shoe

Then select the Door.

After starting a new game, you'll have every area unlocked, with infinite lives and you'll be invulnerable to damage.

Basically, the password enables the following three RAM cheats:
1 Invulnerability 00D030:FF
2 Infinite Lives 00D032:FF
3 Map Fully Open 00D033:FF

Nice finds!
(Please do not use imgur for image upload but stick to our upload system. Anything on imgur will be wiped out eventually, which is sort of opposite to the purpose of smspower. I have manually added your two images to your posts now.).
