BIOS replacement resources
Post Posted: Wed Apr 10, 2013 1:05 pm
Hello everyone.
After some years not posting, I would like to share some more master system info.

Here at SMSPower, there's already a section about BIOS removal:
http://www.smspower.org/Development/BIOSRemoval
(I just edited the entry to update the broken links to my new site).

Among the new things I'd like to share are a BIOS replacement document and a demo BIOS ROM source I wrote, that shows how to access cartridge from BIOS (using RAM routines), how to run an inserted cartridge at user's will and how to get some basic system information.

Is it possible to create another web page like the one above:
http://www.smspower.org/Development/BIOSRemoval

with these information?
Or should I just start a new post with it?

I think it would fit on www.smspower.org/Development/BIOSReplacement and you can create a page in the Homebrew section for your BIOS - just make the URL and follow the instructions.

I made a few small changes, notably I renamed the BIOS page to http://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/SimpleBIOS-SMS to fit our naming scheme.
