Guide to Writing for the SMS/GG Hardware Reference Manual --------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: Please also see the document "SDSC Writing Guide" for general writing guidelines. This SMS/GG Hardware Reference Manual is intended to be a reference on the functional aspects of the SMS and GG machines. Presumably, this is the document that developers will have by their sides constantly when writing software. This document is intended to discuss the hardware in a straight-forward and easily accessible manner. Some guidelines to keep in mind when writing this document are: * Keep the voice formal. Avoid use of pronouns: I, We, You. * Use of tables, charts, and figures are encouraged; this is, after all, a reference manual. * Limit discussion to how the hardware works, not how to program it. * The current outline (Table of Contents) is simply meant to provide a starting point. Please feel free to modify the organization of certain sections to promote readability and intelligent topic flow.
